Airborne Warning And Control System http://www.e3a.nato.int/
AWACS stands for Airborne Warning And Control System that helps the Air Force detect incoming missiles and enemy aircraft from across the country's border. AWACS, while enhancing the Air Force's capability to keep an eye on enemy activities in air, land and sea, is described as an 'Eye in the Sky' as it can carry out surveillance at about 400-km range under all-weather situations, and to lock on to 60 targets at a time simultaneously. AWACS has a 360-degree phased array radar mounted on to the heavylift IL-76 transport aircraft airframe, providing battle-space situational awareness for the IAF for it's tactical and strategic operations. The AWACS bought from Israel was recently inducted into IAF at the newly-formed, Agra-based 50 Squadron in New Delhi. .
Schneier on Security https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2013/12/how_antivirus_c.html
Since we learned that the NSA has surreptitiously weakened Internet security so it could more easily eavesdrop, we've been wondering if it's done anything to antivirus products. Given that it engages in offensive cyberattacks -- and launches cyberweapons like Stuxnet and Flame -- it's reasonable to assume that it's asked antivirus companies to ignore its malware.
But Why Drone's http://www.buildyourowndrone.co.uk/
When you hear the word drone, usually the first thing that comes to mind is something like the MQ-9 reaper (an evil looking unmanned military plane that can fly thousands of miles with bombs strapped to the bottom of it). Yes, that MQ-9 reaper could be considered a drone, but that's like calling a military tank a "car". All drones are different and used for different reasons, so try not to think of just one specific drone the next time you hear someone use the word "drone"..
Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle & Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle http://www.differencebetween.net/technology/difference-between-pslv-and-gslv/
The PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) and GSLV (Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle) are two rocket launch systems developed by the Indian Space Research Organization, or ISRO, to launch satellites into orbit. The PSLV is the older of the two and the GSLV even inherits some of the technologies of the former in its design.

If "fighter pilot" was your desired career, you'd better hurry up now that Boeing is looking to replace you with a robot. The company has retrofitted a retired F-16 fighter, which had laid dormant for 15 years, into a drone for combat training missions. Rather than risking life and limb in the cockpit, two test pilots can maneuver the craft, now called QF-16, from Florida's Tyndall Air Force Base -- presenting rookie flyers with a target that can hit 9G and supersonic speeds. There's an explanatory video below, which explains the benefits of computer controlled planes but... wait a minute, isn't this the plot of Stealth?s.

Analytics is geared toward small and medium-sized retail websites. The service has limitations that make it less suited to more complex websites and larger enterprises. For example, the system collects data through a JavaScript page tag inserted in the code of pages the user wants to collect data on. The page tag functions as a Web bug to gather visitor information. However, because it’s reliant on cookies, the system can’t collect data for users who have disabled them. Google also uses sampling in its reports rather than analyzing all available data. .

It has been a grim couple of weeks for private spaceflight. After the tragic loss of Virgin Galactic’s SpaceshipTwo and the explosion of an Orbital Sciences rocket, Americans are questioning whether it’s a good idea to let private companies send people into space.
by Giovanni de Briganti Rafale Vs Euro fighterTyphoon http://www.defense-aerospace.com/article-view/feature/132379/why-rafale-won-in-india.html
This is not to say, however, that Rafale’s own impressive qualities had nothing to do with its selection. The Indian Air Force, which was extensively briefed by the French air force in the autumn, was particularly impressed by its operational performance during the Libyan bombing campaign and in Afghanistan. Rafale also has a naval variant which could be of future interest to India, given its plans to buy and build aircraft carriers, while the recent decision to upgrade India’s Mirage 2000H fighters will simplify the air force’s logistics chain, as these will share with Rafale many weapons and other equipment.

India's nuclear weapons program is a cornerstone of New Delhi's security strategy for the 21st century. For most of the post-war period, India badly trailed the established nuclear powers in weapon quality, quantity, and the sophistication of delivery systems..

SteamOS lags, but Steam Machines move forward Valve’s SteamOS operating system—basically a specialized Linux distribution built around living-room gaming—and the accompanying Steam controller generated a ton of enthusiasm for a 2014 launch. And then, nothing: Both were delayed until 2015. It feels like a long wait, but hey, gamers have been waiting for Half-Life 3 for more than seven years.
